Have you recently improved the energy efficiency of your business? Then you can enter for the Energy Efficiency Award 2015. The competition is open to companies of all sizes and sectors. The aim is to publicise outstanding energy efficiency strategies across all sectors and to motivate other companies to implement similar projects. The competition, which welcomes international entrants, is held under the patronage of Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel.

A jury of experts from politics, business, science and the media will assess the competition entries according to the criteria of energy savings achieved, relevance to climate protection, cost-efficiency, degree of innovation, and compatibility of the project. In September the panel will first short-list up to 15 companies and will go on to choose the three winning projects from among them. The award ceremony will take place at the dena Energy Efficiency Congress on 16 November 2015 in Berlin.

This is the ninth year in which dena is presenting its Energy Efficiency Award in the context of its "Energy Efficiency Campaign for Companies and Institutions," sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy. All nominated companies may also qualify for the “Best Practice in Energy Efficiency” label and may be included in dena’s database of reference projects.
